Do parents schedule volunteer work through CKN?
No, all volunteer work is scheduled directly with the applicable organization.
How old does my child have to be to volunteer?
Child volunteers are accepted at varying ages depending upon the organization and volunteer activity. Be sure to confirm age requirements when contacting the organization.
Will I have to submit to a background check?
Sometimes the organization will ask that the parent complete a background check prior to volunteering. This background check is typically at the expense of the organization.
How often are new volunteer opportunities added?
CKN updates the database regularly. New organizations are usually added weekly, but sometimes even daily. If you don’t find a suitable opportunity, check back often!
